These are the best three submissions in my opinion:
1st: #7
2nd: #4
3rd: #1
Feedback for #7:
***What I think works well***
The characters attacks look and feel good from the weight being portrayed through great spacing, timing, follow through and camera noise
Camera movement and angles help make the animation feel dynamic and appealing
Creative ideas of how the character transition between attacks
Appealing character posing and camera angle for the ending beats
Overall flow of the animation is great
***What I think could be improved***
When the character jumps of the sword, it feels a little sudden and awkward
At the start, the character feels static and is frozen before the camera moves
Minor polish cleanup on spacing and pops (nitpicky)
Feedback for #4:
***What I think works well***
The intro staging and camera work is very appealing and creative
Camera work feels good and adds to the appeal and impact of the main posing and attacks
The spacing and timing of the attacks has a nice rhythm and snappiness to it
***What I think could be improved***
The camera cut to the main characters reaction, as well as the following movement of him getting up could use a bit more clarity (make it a bit easier to read what they're thinking and doing in the moment)
It could be more clear that at the start, the main character is being attacked by throwing stars
The body mechanics of him walking out could be improved
Feedback for #1:
***What I think works well***
Camera angles made it easy to follow the action and added to the appeal
Visually appealing and creative attack moveset for both characters that feel like they fit each character
the timing between attacks has a nice rhythm
Cool final few beats to end the animation
FX add a nice flair
***What I think could be improved***
The slow motion beat felt a tiny bit clunky with the camera work. Kratos also feels a little off balance here as well
Some of the key poses and breakdowns could be stronger
the pushed animation style feels nice, though sometimes characters weight and momentum feel like they hit small walls
Certain parts of the animation feel like they could be framed a bit better to show off the cool action
There could be a little bit of time at the start before the action starts to take in the scene and characters
